CURRENT OPENINGS:

  • Full Time Maintenance Technician, 2pm – 10:30pm (schedule will include weekend and holiday rotation and may require some shift rotation): Performs a variety of general maintenance duties in and around the hospital facilities as directed by the Director of Support Services or CEO. Performs a variety of routine standard servicing and repair operations to maintain hospital buildings, equipment, furnishings, fixtures, and grounds in proper condition as directed. Performs general construction duties as needed for repair or rehabilitation of all hospital owned properties.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • High school diploma or equivalent
      • Current driver’s license with driving record in good standing
      • Working knowledge of mechanics and Building Trades preferred
      • Previous experience in general maintenance and carpentry work, minor plumbing and electricity preferred
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: Must be able to lift 75 lbs. or more repetitively. May be exposed to prolonged standing, walking, squatting, bending. Exposure to cold and warm weather conditions. Exposure to chemicals used in cleaning agents.

 

  • Full Time RN or LPN – Family Medicine Clinic: (40 hours per week, hours will vary): Under general supervision, assists physician and staff members in providing health care to patients. Ideal candidate will have the knowledge and skills to provide appropriate evaluation, management and treatment of care as authorized and in collaboration with the clinic physician and nurse practitioner. Stocks and maintains exam rooms and nurses stations and assists with clinical and clerical duties.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
      • CPR Certification
      • Licensed as an LPN or RN with the State of Illinois
      • Previous experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: Sitting for extended periods of time, extensive computer input, using telephone, and writing. High level of activity; fast paced environment; subject to constant interruptions.

 

  • Full Time Respiratory Therapist (Day shift, must be able to share in rotating weekend, call and holiday schedule): Provides cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific physician’s orders and department policies and procedures. Maintains knowledge of the various methods of oxygen delivery, including the necessary equipment. Administers respiratory therapy treatments, understands the purpose of each and the possible side effects associated with each. Sets-up and monitors mechanical ventilators and the associated critical care duties required for such treatment, such as airway management and tracheal suctioning.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • Graduate of an approved School of Respiratory Therapy
      • Current Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure in the State of Illinois
      • BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred
      • Previous experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services preferred
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for long periods time. May be exposed to communicable diseases.

 

  • Full Time Cook (9:30am – 6:00pm, includes weekend and holiday rotation): Responsible for food preparation and food production according to established dietary requirements of quality, quantity, nutrition, appearance, temperature, and established meal schedules. Able to do basic math, read and follow recipes, and follow verbal or written orders. Knowledge of food preparation and general kitchen duties.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • High school diploma or equivalent education
      • At least 1 year experience in institutional quantity cooking, either in hospital, nursing home or school setting preferred
      • Food Handler Training or Certified Food Protection Manager
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds or more. Frequent bending, pushing, and pulling. Periods of prolonged standing and walking. Able to withstand temperature changes.

 

  • Full Time Float RN (schedule will vary, must be able to work a variety of shifts, as well as holidays and weekends as needed): Provides direct and indirect patient care in Med/Surg, Emergency, Family Medicine, Surgery/Same Day, and Cardiac Rehab departments. Communicates with physicians/nurse manager/co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Is able to perform general nursing duties with adequate supervision. Must have basic skills knowledge, working knowledge of medication and administration and basic computer skills.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
      • Current Registered Nurse license within the State of Illinois
      • BLS and ACLS Certification required
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: Able to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time, able to lift 50# or more, able to handle stressful situations and make independent judgments and be flexible to the needs of the unit. May be exposed to communicable diseases.

 

  • Full Time Emergency Department RN (6:30pm – 7:00am): Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations. Communicates with ED physicians about changes in patient’s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
      • Current Registered Nurse license within the State of Illinois
      • One year Emergency/Critical Care experience or two years Medical/Surgical experience preferred
      • BLS Certification required. ECRN, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC or TNS within one year of hire
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: May be required to lift 50 lbs. or more and may be exposed to communicable diseases.

 

  • Full Time and PRN (as needed) Emergency Room Intake Technician: Performs various administrative functions, such as reception and clerical work. Responsible for greeting incoming patients, completing full patient reception and registration functions which include entering demographic and insurance information. Assists ED RN in caring for patients who present to facility with life/limb threatening conditions. Must demonstrate an ability to be flexible with schedule and tasks and be able to function well in stressful situations.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • High school graduate or equivalent
      • Licensed in the State of Illinois as EMT-B/P, NREMT or NREMT-P
      • BLS certification required
      • One-year pre-hospital EMS experience preferred
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: May be required to lift 50 lbs. or more. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and may be exposed to communicable diseases.
