CURRENT OPENINGS:

 

  • Full Time Housekeeper (2pm – 10:30pm): Performs a variety of environmental service/housekeeping duties while maintaining the hospital in a clean, neat, orderly, and sanitary condition according to established procedures. Works in timely manner to clean assigned areas. Performs linen duties as assigned or required to maintain inventory levels for clean linen and the removal of soiled linen. Must have basic housekeeping and cleaning skills, knowledge of sanitation, in-depth cleaning of patient rooms, clinic rooms, etc.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • High school diploma or equivalent required
      • Previous hospital or industrial cleaning/linen experience preferred
      • Experience with cleaning equipment and solutions helpful
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: Must be able to read and write and have basic math skills. Requires physical ability to stand, walk for long periods of time, push and pull mops and brooms, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Upper body mechanics to clean thoroughly with basic understanding of infection control procedures, standard precautions and isolation procedures.

 

  • Full Time (40 hrs/wk) and Part Time (24 hrs/wk) Patient Financial Services Representative: Gathers personal and confidential information for an assigned group of patients; acts as liaison between hospital and patients, representing and handling all respective business needs and functions for each individual patient account from the time of admission through final payment. Reviews patient account documentation and makes appropriate corrections to the account. Enters cash receipts and balances to deposits and reports. Verifies that accounts are being paid according to contracts. Crosstrains to other departments to serve as backup as needed. Must have good phone presence and the ability to work with public, patients, and patient’s family members.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • High school diploma or equivalent required
      • Computer and typing skills required
      • Knowledge of billing and collection process preferred
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: Must be able to lift 25 pounds or more and capable of handling frequent interruptions. May be subject to periods of prolonged standing, walking or sitting.

 

  • Full Time Lab Tech (MLT or MLS), 10:30pm – 7:00am: Ability to proficiently perform a variety of chemical, microscopic and bacteriological tests and procedures following established policies and procedures of the laboratory and requirements of accrediting and regulating agencies. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide laboratory services appropriate to the age of the patients served including newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related biological science
      • ASCP certification preferred
      • BLS certification required
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. or more and follow proper body mechanics as relates to the job. May be exposed to communicable diseases.

 

  • Full Time CMA or LPN – Family Medicine Clinic: Under general supervision, assists physician and staff members in providing health care to patients. Ideal candidate will have the knowledge and skills to provide appropriate evaluation, management and treatment of care as authorized and in collaboration with the clinic physician and nurse practitioner. Stocks and maintains exam rooms and nurses stations and assists with clinical and clerical duties.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • Graduate of an approved school of nursing and licensed as an LPN with the State of Illinois; or
      • Graduate of an approved Medical Assisting Program and CMA certification
      • BLS certification required
      • Previous experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: Sitting for extended periods of time, extensive computer input, using telephone, and writing. High level of activity; fast paced environment; subject to constant interruptions.

 

  • Full Time Float RN (schedule will vary, must be able to work a variety of shifts, as well as holidays and weekends as needed): Provides direct and indirect patient care in Med/Surg, Emergency, Family Medicine, Surgery/Same Day, and Cardiac Rehab departments. Communicates with physicians/nurse manager/co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Is able to perform general nursing duties with adequate supervision. Must have basic skills knowledge, working knowledge of medication and administration and basic computer skills.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
      • Current Registered Nurse license within the State of Illinois
      • BLS and ACLS Certification required.
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: Able to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time, able to lift 50# or more, able to handle stressful situations and make independent judgments and be flexible to the needs of the unit. May be exposed to communicable diseases.

 

  • Full Time Respiratory Therapist: Provides cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific physician’s orders and department policies and procedures. Maintains knowledge of the various methods of oxygen delivery, including the necessary equipment. Administers respiratory therapy treatments, understands the purpose of each and the possible side effects associated with each. Sets-up and monitors mechanical ventilators and the associated critical care duties required for such treatment, such as airway management and tracheal suctioning.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy
      • Current Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure in the State of Illinois
      • BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred
      • Previous experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services preferred
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for long periods time. May be exposed to communicable diseases.

 

  • Full Time Med/Surg RN (6:30pm – 7:00am): Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting. Communicates with physicians/nurse manager/co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.  Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Is able to perform general nursing duties with adequate supervision. Must have basic skills knowledge, working knowledge of medication and administration and basic computer skills.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
      • Current Registered Nurse license within the State of Illinois
      • BLS and ACLS Certification required.
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: Able to stand and walk for periods of 2 hours or longer, able to lift 50# or more, able to handle stressful situations and make independent judgments and be flexible to the needs of the unit. May be exposed to communicable diseases.

 

  • Full Time Emergency Department RN (6:30pm – 7:00am): Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations. Communicates with ED physicians about changes in patient’s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
      • Current Registered Nurse license within the State of Illinois
      • One year Emergency/Critical Care experience or two years Medical/Surgical experience preferred
      • BLS Certification required. ECRN, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC or TNS within one year of hire
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: May be required to lift 50 lbs. or more and may be exposed to communicable diseases.

 

  • Full Time and PRN (as needed) Emergency Room Intake Technicians (schedule will include weekend and holiday rotation): Performs various administrative functions, such as reception and clerical work. Responsible for greeting incoming patients, completing full patient reception and registration functions which include entering demographic and insurance information. Assists ED RN in caring for patients who present to facility with life/limb threatening conditions. Must demonstrate an ability to be flexible with schedule and tasks and be able to function well in stressful situations.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • High school graduate or equivalent
      • Licensed in the State of Illinois as EMT-B/P, NREMT or NREMT-P
      • BLS certification required
      • One-year pre-hospital EMS experience preferred
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: May be required to lift 50 lbs. or more. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and may be exposed to communicable diseases.
