CURRENT OPENINGS
Housekeeper:
Full time (3pm – 11:30pm with occasional weekend rotation):
Performs a variety of environmental service/housekeeping duties while maintaining the hospital in a clean, neat, orderly, and sanitary condition according to established procedures. Works in timely manner to clean assigned areas. Performs linen duties as assigned or required to maintain inventory levels for clean linen and the removal of soiled linen.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Basic housekeeping and cleaning skills, knowledge of sanitation, in-depth cleaning of patient rooms, clinic rooms, etc.
- Previous hospital or industrial cleaning/linen experience preferred
- Experience with cleaning equipment and solutions helpful
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Must be able to read and write and have basic math skills. Requires physical ability to stand, walk for long periods of time, push and pull mops and brooms, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Upper body mechanics to clean thoroughly with basic understanding of infection control procedures, standard precautions and isolation procedures.
Radiologic Technologist:
Full time (day shift, 40 hours per week with rotating weekend and call schedule):
Position performs diagnostic procedures requiring the use of equipment that produces ionizing radiation. Ideal candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of human structure and function, as well as the knowledge and skills to identify each patient’s requirement relative to his or her age specific needs. Candidate must also be familiar with principles of patient care, radiographic exposure, radiation protection, and specialized technique as required for a radiologic technologist.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
- Radiologic Technologist registration with the State of Illinois
- ARRT Certification
- BLS Certification
- Ability to perform x-ray and CT scans
- Mammography experience preferred

Patient Financial Services Representative :
Full time (Monday through Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm):
Gathers personal and confidential information for an assigned group of patients; acts as liaison between hospital and patients, representing and handling all respective business needs and functions for each individual patient account from the time of admission through final payment. Reviews patient account documentation and makes appropriate corrections to the account. Enters cash receipts and balances to deposits and reports. Verifies that accounts are being paid according to contracts. Crosstrains to other departments to serve as backup as needed.
Qualifications/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Typing skills and computer experience
- Knowledge of billing and collection process preferred
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and be capable of handling frequent interruptions. Must be able to lift 25 pounds or more.
Family Medicine Receptionist:
Full time (Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week):
Manages patient flow by assessing needs of patients entering and exiting the clinic. Manages all incoming phone calls, maintaining patient information in computer system, and scheduling of patient appointments. Responsible for preparing charts, collecting payments, calling and confirming appointments and maintaining the cash drawer.
Qualifications/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of CNA or MA training preferred
- Previous medical office experience preferred
- Knowledge of insurance billing, Medicaid and Medicare rules and regulations and medical terminology desired
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Must be able to sit and walk for long periods of time. May be exposed to communicable diseases.
Med/Surg RN:
Full time (36 hrs/wk, 6:30pm – 7am with weekend and holiday rotation)
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting. Communicates with physicians/nurse manager/co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN license within the State of Illinois
- BLS and ACLS Certification
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Able to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time, able to lift 50# or more, able to handle stressful situations and make independent judgments and be flexible to the needs of the unit. May be exposed to communicable diseases.
Emergency Department RN:
Full time (Night shift, 6:30pm – 7:00am, rotating weekends and holidays)
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations. Communicates with ED physicians about changes in patient’s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license within the State of Illinois
- One year Emergency/Critical Care experience or two years Medical/Surgical experience preferred
- BLS Certification required, ECRN, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC or TNS within one year of hire
Physical/Mental Requirements:
May be required to lift 50 lbs. or more and may be exposed to communicable diseases.
Cook:
Part Time (24 hours per week, schedule will include weekend and holiday rotation)
Responsible for food preparation and food production according to established dietary requirements of quality, quantity, nutrition, appearance, temperature, and established meal schedules. Able to do basic math, read and follow recipes, and follow verbal or written orders. Knowledge of food preparation and general kitchen duties required.
Qualifications/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year experience in institutional quantity cooking, either in hospital, nursing home or school setting preferred
- Certified Food Protection Manager preferred
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds or more. Frequent bending, pushing, and pulling. Periods of prolonged standing and walking. Able to withstand temperature changes.
Nurse Practitioner (Nursing Home):
PRN (as needed, schedule will vary)
Under physician direction, the nurse practitioner will provide primary and preventative care for long term care patients residing in skilled nursing facilities, including chronic ventilator patients. The nurse practitioner will assess, review medications, create an appropriate care plan, and provide and evaluate care of patients. The nurse practitioner will work in conjunction with the supervising physician and ACO team to meet specific quality metrics, as well as communicate with nursing home staff to discuss changes in condition and/or care plan.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Skilled and confident with chronic ventilator management
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Licensed as an APN with the State of Illinois
- Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License
- Certification by an approved body – ANCC/AANP
- BLS Certification
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and walk for long periods of time. May be exposed to communicable diseases.
Respiratory Therapist:
Full Time (6:30am – 7pm, must be able to share in rotating weekend, call and holiday schedule)
Provides cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific physician’s orders and department policies and procedures. Maintains knowledge of the various methods of oxygen delivery, including the necessary equipment. Administers respiratory therapy treatments, understands the purpose of each and the possible side effects associated with each. Sets-up and monitors mechanical ventilators and the associated critical care duties required for such treatment, such as airway management and tracheal suctioning.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Graduate of an approved School of Respiratory Therapy
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure in the State of Illinois
- BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred
- Previous experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services preferred
