No Surprises Act (NSA)

The No Surprises Act (NSA) is your rights and protections against surprise medical bills. “Surprise billing” is an unexpected balance bill. This can happen when you can’t control who is involved in your care—like when you have an emergency or when you schedule a visit at an in- network facility but are unexpectedly treated by an out-of-network provider. Surprise medical bills could cost thousands of dollars depending on the procedure or service. For more information, please see the two links below.

In an effort to ensure patient safety and public trust, anyone can inquire about our staffing levels and staff competence by calling 217-935-9571 to make an appointment with the Chief Nursing Officer.
